Antique Red Cliff barber chair used outside a trailer in Red Cliff. Photo on left was taken in July 2005. Although the seat cushion is missing, the rest of the chair still shows its original paint and the vertical cushions are in good condition. The photo on the right shows the chair on October 13, 2007, after having been left out in the weather for two years. The cushions show deterioration, the paint is almost gone, and the footrest has disappeared...

Elmer J. Bindley, known as Jack, came to Colorado in July of 1910 and entered into the barber trade in Eagle. This business, the Silver Eagle Barber and Beauty Shop, continued until his death in 1959. Jack had ran the shop in partnership with his son, ira, who took over upon his father's death until his own retirement in 1986. This is much more than an envelope and advertises the town of Eagle in general. There are local photographs of ranches...
