New York City artist, Doug Martin, instructs artist and Colorado Mountain College (CMC) student, Joan Norris, during CMC's continuing education program, Summervail Workshop in Art and Critical Studies. The 1975 program was held at Maloit Park near Minturn, Colorado.

On 19 March 2023, Mikaela Shiffrin, an Edwards, Colorado native, celebrated FIS Alpine Ski World Cup wins in slalom, giant slalom and the overall title. The events took place on the final day of the 2022/2023 season and were held in Soldeu, a Pyrenean ski village located in the principality of Andorra.

R. blanda), the moose cow was enjoying the greenscape between Vail Public Library and Gore Creek. Observed browsing on red osier dogwood (Cornus sericea) leaf and twig, the moose enjoyed the native plant landscaping between Vail Public Library (VPL) and Gore Creek for much of the afternoon.

During the 1960s and into the 1970s, the Town of Vail had a Public Works building that was called "The A-Frame." From 1973 to 1978, "The A-Frame" was the primary site of Summervail Art Workshop (SAW).
