The American flag on a cliff located between the Shoshone Intake Dam and the Shoshone Power Plant on the south side of the Colorado River in Glenwood Canyon. Mike Paddock and Steve Kibler, avid rock climbers, decided to put a flag in Glenwood Canyon before they entered military service in 1968. Paddock spent part of his enlistment in Vietnam.
