The log cabin in the picture was also on the property and once was home to William Lea's mother, Johanna Harrison Lea, and his sister, Ada Lea (Sprague).

The photo was taken in front of the Lea home in Gypsum. Richard George died young in 1928 and is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Gypsum, Colorado.
