29) Doll Family

A group at the original Doll family cabin at Dotsero. Lucy Doll is standing at far left; Susan Doll is sitting on the porch rail next to Franklin Doll. The others are not identified. The Doll's moved to Gypsum Valley 1n 1888. [Either this photo or 2012.012.001 is flipped.]

This cabin was built in 1939 at the junction of Red Dirt Creek and the Colorado River, on the Brunel Ranch or possibly BLM land. A retired railroad employee lived in it. The building burned circa 1981.

"Another old cabin on the Black Mountain Ranch that served as a temporary home for people who made all or part of their livelihood doing timber work from 1914 to 1930. Leonard and Maude Hudson spent part of their honeymoon here during the winter of 1919-1920 when Leonard was hauling timber products for Fred Hall.
