The I. D. Van Camp dwelling is circled by an antler fence. Plants (beans) are growing up string trellises. The sod roof is sporting vegetation. Yampa is in Routt County.

"In 1917 Howard and Mattie Van Horn and daughters came over from Edwards on the Eagle River and bought part of the Groh ranch from Hollis Brooks, the owner at that time. The land they bought had about thirty acres in cultivation and under a ditch. There were no other improvements except some fence, so the Van Horns built this better than average ranch house and other buildings so necessary on every ranch. After living here several years they bought...

35) Judd Lyon Ranch

"The buildings on the Lyon Hidden Valley Ranch are in a much better state of repair than any of the other deserted ranches in Yarmony Park, mainly due to the fact that it was occupied the longest. 36) Eagle School

The school building in Eagle, Colorado, 215 Capitol St. Built in 1890, it was used as a school until 1916 when it was sold to the Catholic Church. The school is surrounded by a picket fence and boardwalk.
On front: "31, City School, Eagle, Colo., Forsyth-Pho."
37) McCoy Hotel

"The McCoy Hotel as it appeared when Charles H. 'Daddy' McCoy was operating it in 1904. The photo was taken looking south west. The east end of the building was the kitchen and dining room, the lobby, Post Office and the McCoys living quarters in the center while the west end was mostly guest rooms and a large hall for community gatherings, dances, etc. In later years the ground floor was converted into a store. 40) Elliott Place

The Tom Elliott place on Rock Creek. The ranch house is on the right with corrals and barn at left. The ranch is in Routt County, two miles north of McCoy. Irrigation was from the creek in order to grow supplementary feed for winter.s
