Front view of Lucero's Hwy. 24 Liquors, with gas pumps removed. Lucero's Hwy. 24 Liquor Store & Self Service Gas station opened in 1974. The gas station was closed in 2007 and the liquor store closed in 2008. Tony Lucero [81 years old in 2009], proprietor, also worked at the Climax Mine, Leadville, for twenty years.

Cabins built by Nels Yost and rented to railroad construction workers. There are cherry and apple trees behind the cabins, close to the riverbank. They were located north of where the Colorado River Road meets Hwy 6. The photo was printed on April 2, 1933. The automobile at right appears to have a flat tire.

Clyde Nottingham (driving) and younger brother, Harry Nottingham, in front seat. Harry is holding Clyde's daughter, Lola. Clyde's wife, Myrtle is holding baby son Roland in the back seat, next to friend, Lillian Snell, who once worked for the Nottinghams.
