M-D Drug moved into Tom Sullivans' Pioneer Theater building when Tom died. Ozzie Miller & Turman Davis bought the theater building and Alcove's moved into the corner and stayed until 1970. The view is to the east down Hampden.
This roadhouse known as Pap Wyman's Place or the Petersburg Inn was located on the N.W. corner of Hampden and Sante Fe. This view is to the West. The building was torn down in 1939.
The last switching of phones before dial service began. The photo was taken at midnight in the Phone Co. office. Manager Rex Richards watches Ann Anderson place the last call.
