The two story building, the "High New House" in the background was built by Pete Coulthard. Locals called it "Pete's Place." He died in 1998 at the age of 34. It is now part of the Red Cliff Lodge. The small building in front of it was a garage. Diana Cisneros had a restaurant there at one time. The next building with the spindle balcony was converted into apartments. The wood garage was replaced in the early 1950s with a cinder block building. Above the railroad tracks and fence in the upper right is the school and just to the left of the school is the Squire's home (two stories).
