"The Pershing Fair and Rodeo held on Conger Mesa in the fall of 1916 and 1917 was intended to be an annual event until World War One interrupted the plan, so it was only held those two years. The King and Queen of Pioneer Day at McCoy, June 16, 1974, Josephine Kayser Ruehle and Arthur Kayser. Josephine married Carl Ruehle in 1910 and moved to Casper, Wyoming, several years later. Arthur, the youngest of Joe Kayser's sons, was on the Kayser Ranch for only a few years before moving to Oak Creek, where he was employed by the town.

The two gentlemen seated on chairs on the porch are holding what appears to be glasses with wild flowers in them. A third man is carrying a bucket into the tent. A fourth man, seated at right, is smoking a pipe.
